upload rice and water to a medium saucepan and produce to a boil over excessive warmth. once boiling, lower warmness to a simmer and cowl. ensure it’s simmering and no longer boiling or the rice can prepare dinner too fast.

Simmer until the water is absolutely absorbed and the rice is gentle – approximately 15-25 mins. Drain off any excess water if there may be any.

I love to turn off the heat, put the lid off, fluff with a fork and allow for 10 mins so the rice gets fluffier and steam escapes. Then return the lid to hold warm till serving.

Keep cooled leftovers within the fridge for up to five days, or in the freezer up to 1 month. Reheat within the microwave or on the stovetop with a bit of oil or water until warm.
